Baskerville House is an ideal whole house rental for groups of friends or families.

Located in the peaceful village of Clyro, a few miles over the Welsh border, we are just over one mile from Hay on Wye and surrounded by glorious Welsh (and English) countryside. This was a coaching inn and hotel, made famous through its associations with Francis Kilvert, the curate and diarist who lived opposite and its important history as part of the Baskerville Estate and connection to Arthur Conan Doyle, the creator of Sherlock Holmes.

Sleeping up to nineteen, the whole property has been refurbished from top to bottom, to create an award-winning guest house and spacious family home. Substantial, yet not so big it overwhelms. Perfect for friends, multi-generational families and small corporate groups.

There is a formal dining room, seating up to eighteen, a spacious and capable commercial kitchen and two large reception rooms, both with wood-burning stoves. We have books and games everywhere, a large TV downstairs if needed and table tennis too if you feel more energetic.

Our bedrooms are a mixture of twin, king or super king-sized beds, with one single, all with Egyptian cotton linen and down pillows. Eight have en suite showers and two have roll top baths.
