There's an awful lot to do and see in the Welsh Borders

Using us as a base, walk to Hay on Wye in around twenty five minutes and spend the day ambling round the bookstores, market and shops or explore the magnificently refurbished Castle. The River Wye offers fishing for trout, salmon, chub and barbel, kayaking is hugely popular or there's miles of walking along the Wye valley trail and up on Hay Bluff . 

Riding and pony trekking in wonderful moorland and through ancient Radnorshire forests is a big draw, with Offa's Dyke and the Brecon Beacons National Park right next to us also, offering trails and hikes for all levels. The roads are excellent too, which is why so many bikers and motor cyclists visit.

If history is more your thing, then stunning Hereford Cathedral and its Mappa Mundi is only a thirty minute drive away. Combine that with tranquil Llanthony Priory or the beautiful Elan Valley and mile upon mile of majestic Welsh countryside right behind our property. There's something for everyone.​ 

When it comes to dining, we have numerous excellent pubs, restaurants and cafes all around us ranging from top class venues to simple cafes. Hay is a short walk and within a twenty minute drive there are countless others, from old drover inns, to Michelin starred establishments.
